Its 384×288 sensor and 25mm F0.9 lens provide 1.8× base magnification with a useful 19.3m field of view at 100m and detection capability out to 1300 metres.
That combination works particularly well across mixed terrain. There is enough field of view for searching woodland, forestry and field margins without sacrificing the magnification required to examine animals across more open ground.
For deer stalking, we'd consider the M325 a very capable everyday thermal spotter. It's equally at home checking woodland rides for deer, scanning fields for foxes and rabbits, or conducting general wildlife observation.

Pixfra Mile 3 M335 – The Long-Range 384
If you regularly operate across large fields, open hill, moorland or expansive estates, the Pixfra Mile 3 M335 hand held thermal spotter takes the same 384×288 sensor format but pairs it with a longer 35mm F0.9 objective lens.
That increases native magnification to 2.5× and extends the quoted detection distance to an impressive 1800 metres. The trade-off is a narrower 13.6m × 10.3m field of view at 100m.
That difference gives the M335 a noticeably different purpose.
Where the M325 is designed as an all-round scanner, the M335 places greater emphasis on distance and magnification. Distant animals occupy more of the image at base magnification, which can be advantageous when scanning large open areas.

Moving up to the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 thermal imager brings a substantial increase in sensor resolution.
Its 640×512, 12μm detector is paired with a 25mm F0.9 lens, giving the M625 just 1.2× base magnification and a huge 30.6m × 24.4m field of view at 100 metres. Detection range remains an impressive 1300 metres.
This makes the M625 a very different proposition from the M335.
Rather than concentrating on maximum native magnification, the M625 is about seeing more of the landscape at once while retaining the additional detail available from a 640-resolution thermal sensor.
For deer stalking, that's an extremely attractive combination. When scanning woodland rides, clearfell, forest edges or groups of deer, the wider field of view makes it easier to locate animals and maintain awareness of what's happening around them.
It is equally appealing for wildlife research and ecological surveys, where locating multiple animals and understanding their position within the surrounding habitat can be more important than maximum magnification.
At only around 290g, the M625 also manages to package that 640-resolution performance into an exceptionally portable thermal monocular.
Best suited to: Deer stalking, deer management, woodland, wildlife surveys, ecology and anyone wanting maximum image quality with a wide field of view.
Pixfra Mile 3 M625 LRF – The Complete Package
Sitting at the top of the range is the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 LRF.

Fundamentally, the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 LRF offers the same compelling thermal formula as the M625: a 640×512 detector, ≤15mK sensitivity, 25mm lens, 1.2× base magnification, 30.6m field of view and 1300m detection capability.
The big difference is the addition of Pixfra's flush-fit integrated laser rangefinder.
Rather than adding a bulky external rangefinder module, Pixfra has incorporated the LRF into the streamlined body of the monocular. It can measure out to 1000 metres with ±1 metre accuracy.
For deer stalking and deer management, this means an animal can be located, observed and ranged using a single handheld device.
It's also useful for professional wildlife work. When conducting a survey, being able to establish the distance to an observed animal or feature can provide additional context without needing to swap between a thermal imager and separate rangefinder.

This is probably the easiest comparison to understand

Choose the M325 if you want a more versatile thermal spotter. Its 1.8× magnification and wider 19.3m FOV make it better suited to woodland, mixed terrain and general-purpose scanning.
Choose the M335 if you spend more time looking across open country. Its 2.5× base magnification, 35mm lens and 1800m detection range favour longer-distance observation.
Neither is universally "better" – the lens configuration simply makes them suited to different environments.
M325 vs M625 – Is a 640 Thermal Worth It?
Both models use a 25mm lens, but their different sensor resolutions result in significantly different viewing characteristics.
The M325 gives you 384×288 resolution, 1.8× magnification and a 19.3m horizontal FOV.
The M625 increases resolution to 640×512, drops base magnification to 1.2× and expands the horizontal field of view to a substantial 30.6m at 100m.
For users who spend a lot of time behind a thermal, the M625's combination of additional sensor resolution and substantially wider view makes it particularly attractive for rapid scanning and observing multiple animals.

M625 vs M625 LRF – Do You Need the Rangefinder?
Thermally, these two models are extremely closely matched.
If you already carry a laser rangefinding binocular or separate rangefinder, the standard M625 gives you the core 640 thermal performance in a smaller, lighter package.
If you want to spot and range with one device, choose the M625 LRF.
