The Pixfra Mile 3 M625 LRF Thermal Monocular combines high-resolution 640×512 thermal imaging, class-leading ≤15mK thermal sensitivity and an integrated 1000 metre laser rangefinder in a remarkably compact, lightweight design. Developed for users who want premium thermal performance without the size and weight traditionally associated with high-resolution thermal optics, the Mile 3 M625 LRF is ideally suited to deer stalking, deer management, hunting, pest control, wildlife observation, wildlife research and professional land management.

At its heart is a 640×512, 12μm thermal sensor paired with a fast 25mm F1.0 germanium objective lens. The combination delivers an exceptionally useful 30.6m × 24.4m field of view at 100 metres, making the M625 LRF particularly effective for rapidly scanning woodland rides, field margins, forestry, farmland and open ground. A low 1.2× base magnification helps users cover large areas efficiently, while up to 8× digital zoom provides additional magnification when examining a detected heat source. Detection capability extends to 1300 metres.

Further Information

Class-Leading ≤15mK Thermal Sensitivity

One of the standout features of the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 LRF is its impressive ≤15mK NETD thermal sensitivity. This highly sensitive detector can distinguish extremely small differences in temperature, helping reveal greater detail within animals, vegetation and surrounding terrain.

This becomes particularly valuable during rain, mist, damp weather, cold conditions and other low thermal-contrast environments, where less sensitive thermal imagers can struggle to separate a heat signature from its surroundings. Pixfra specifically developed the Mile 3 architecture to improve animal detection and differentiation across challenging woodland and open-field environments.

For deer stalkers and wildlife professionals, the combination of 640×512 resolution and ≤15mK NETD can provide greater confidence when scanning for deer partially concealed by vegetation, locating animals against complicated backgrounds or conducting wildlife observations around dawn and dusk.

PIPS 3.0 Pro AI-Powered Thermal Image Processing

The new Mile 3 series introduces Pixfra PIPS 3.0 Pro, the latest generation of the company's Pixfra Image Processing System.

PIPS 3.0 Pro uses advanced AI algorithms to enhance fine image detail, reduce image noise, improve detector responsiveness in cold conditions and optimise image balance across both close and longer-distance scenes. The technology is designed to maintain a clear, detailed thermal image not only at the M625 LRF's native magnification, but also as digital magnification is increased.

For practical field use, this means the Pixfra M625 LRF thermal monocular isn't simply about detecting a heat source – its imaging system is designed to help the observer extract more useful visual information from the thermal scene.

Integrated 1000m Laser Rangefinder

The M625 LRF is the rangefinding model within the Pixfra Mile 3 family and incorporates a discreet flush-fit laser rangefinder directly into its compact body.

Capable of measuring distances out to 1000 metres with ±1 metre accuracy, the integrated LRF provides an immediate indication of how far away an observed animal, object or point of interest is.

This is particularly useful for deer stalking and deer management, where accurately judging distance across unfamiliar ground can be difficult at night or through a thermal image. It can also prove invaluable for wildlife surveys and research, allowing observers to record approximate animal locations and distances without carrying a separate rangefinder.

Pixfra's flush-fit design also avoids the prominent external LRF modules found on some thermal monoculars, helping retain the streamlined shape and pocket-friendly dimensions of the Mile 3.

Wide Field of View for Deer & Wildlife Scanning

The 25mm F1.0 objective lens is an important part of what makes the Pixfra M625 LRF such a versatile handheld thermal imager.

Rather than chasing high optical magnification, Pixfra combines the 25mm lens with its 640×512 detector to provide 1.2× base magnification and a wide 30.6m × 24.4m field of view at 100 metres.

That makes it especially well suited to applications such as:

  • Deer stalking and deer management
  • Locating deer before and after last light
  • Woodland and forestry scanning
  • Fox and pest detection
  • Wildlife surveys and population monitoring
  • Ecological and conservation work
  • Farm and estate wildlife management
  • Scanning field margins, rides and woodland edges
  • General nocturnal wildlife observation

The wide field of view makes finding moving animals easier, while the 640-resolution detector provides the image detail required to investigate a detected heat signature more closely.

3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel Control

A major innovation introduced with the Pixfra Mile 3 is its new 3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel.

Instead of requiring separate controls for several frequently used functions, the E-Wheel combines electronic focus, digital zoom and menu navigation into one control. It can be rotated to focus, pressed to change zoom and used to access and navigate the menu.

The system has been tested through more than 100,000 presses and 150,000 rotations and is designed for quiet, intuitive, one-handed operation. This is particularly useful while stalking or conducting night-time wildlife surveys, when the user needs to operate the thermal monocular without repeatedly looking at its controls.

Large 0.49-Inch Full HD OLED Display

The impressive thermal image produced by the M625 LRF is viewed through a high-resolution 1920×1080 0.49-inch OLED display.

Combined with Pixfra's high-magnification eyepiece, the larger OLED provides an immersive viewing experience and is designed to reduce the strain associated with prolonged observation.

Six thermal colour palettes are available, including White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, Alarm, Green Hot and Sepia, allowing users to select the image presentation best suited to the environment and their personal preference.

Rugged Magnesium-Alloy Construction

Despite its impressive performance, the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 LRF remains a genuinely portable thermal monocular.

The rugged magnesium-alloy construction provides strength and rigidity while keeping overall size and weight down. The M625 LRF is rated IP67 waterproof and dustproof and designed to operate across temperatures ranging from -30°C to +55°C, making it suitable for demanding year-round field use.

Whether carried in a stalking jacket, bino harness or field bag, the Mile 3 has been developed as a thermal monocular that can remain readily accessible rather than becoming another bulky piece of equipment.

Replaceable 18650 Battery System

The Mile 3 uses readily replaceable and rechargeable 18650 lithium batteries, allowing a depleted battery to be swapped quickly in the field rather than relying solely upon an internal rechargeable power pack.

The supplied battery system makes the M625 LRF particularly attractive for extended stalking trips, wildlife surveys, night-time pest control and professional fieldwork, where the thermal imager may be used repeatedly over many hours. The individual M625 LRF datasheet specifies ≥5 hours at 25°C with Wi-Fi switched off for a battery.

Record Your Thermal Observations

With a substantial 64GB of built-in storage, the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 LRF can capture both thermal photographs and video directly through the monocular.

Pixfra states that the storage capacity can accommodate more than 25 hours of video or up to 150,000 photographs, providing ample capacity for documenting hunts, deer activity, wildlife surveys and unusual animal behaviour.

A built-in dual-band Wi-Fi hotspot also allows real-time viewing and media sharing with compatible smartphones through the Pixfra Outdoor app, with support for up to four connected smartphones.
