Further Information

The Pixfra Mile 3 M625 Thermal Monocular brings premium 640×512 thermal imaging into an exceptionally compact, lightweight handheld design. Featuring class-leading ≤15mK NETD thermal sensitivity, a wide-angle 25mm lens, PIPS 3.0 Pro AI-powered image processing and an immersive 0.49-inch Full HD OLED display, the M625 is designed for users who want outstanding image quality without the additional size or cost of an integrated laser rangefinder.

Ideally suited to deer stalking, deer management, hunting, pest control, wildlife observation, wildlife research and ecology, the Pixfra M625 combines a high-resolution 640×512 12μm thermal sensor with a fast 25mm F0.9 objective lens. This produces a particularly wide 30.6m × 24.4m field of view at 100 metres, allowing large areas of woodland, forestry, farmland and open ground to be scanned quickly and efficiently.

With just 1.2× base magnification, the M625 prioritises situational awareness and field of view, making it an excellent thermal spotter for deer stalking and wildlife observation. Once an animal or heat source has been located, up to 8× digital zoom allows the user to examine it more closely, while a maximum stated thermal detection distance of 1300 metres provides plenty of capability across larger areas of ground.

High Resolution 640×512 Thermal Sensor

At the heart of the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 is a high-resolution 640×512, 12μm thermal detector operating at 50Hz. Combined with its exceptionally sensitive ≤15mK NETD, the M625 is capable of revealing subtle temperature differences within animals, vegetation and the surrounding landscape.

For the deer stalker, this makes the M625 an extremely effective tool for locating deer concealed against woodland edges, amongst vegetation or across open fields. For wildlife researchers and ecologists, its high thermal sensitivity can help locate and observe animals with minimal disturbance, particularly during nocturnal surveys or around dawn and dusk.

The excellent sensitivity is especially beneficial during damp, misty or low thermal-contrast conditions, when the temperature difference between an animal and its surroundings may be much smaller.

PIPS 3.0 Pro AI-Powered Image Processing

The Mile 3 generation introduces PIPS 3.0 Pro, Pixfra's latest AI-powered thermal image processing technology.

Rather than relying on sensor resolution alone, PIPS 3.0 Pro uses advanced algorithms to enhance fine detail, reduce image noise, improve responsiveness in colder conditions and optimise overall image balance across both close-range and distant scenes.

For practical field use, this helps the Mile 3 M625 produce a more natural and detailed thermal image, allowing the observer to better interpret what they are seeing rather than simply detecting a heat source.

Wide 30.6m Field of View – Ideal for Scanning

One of the strongest features of the Pixfra M625 is its combination of a 640×512 sensor and 25mm lens.

The resulting 30.6m horizontal field of view at 100 metres is particularly useful when searching for animals. Rather than viewing a narrow section of the landscape, the M625 allows the user to scan substantially more ground with each sweep.

This makes the M625 particularly well suited to:

  • Deer stalking and deer management
  • Woodland and forestry deer detection
  • Scanning rides, clearings and woodland edges
  • Fox and pest detection
  • Rabbit and vermin control
  • Wildlife surveys and population monitoring
  • Ecological fieldwork
  • Nocturnal wildlife observation
  • Farm and estate management
  • Locating animals before first light and after sunset

For stalkers who already use a separate rangefinder or rangefinding binocular, the non-LRF M625 provides the core thermal performance of the M625 LRF in an even smaller and lighter package.

3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel

The Pixfra Mile 3 Series introduces an innovative 3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel, designed to simplify operation of the thermal monocular in the field.

A single control provides access to three of the functions most frequently used during observation: electronic focusing, digital zoom and menu navigation. The wheel can be rotated for focus, pressed to toggle zoom and used to navigate the M625's menu system.

This streamlined control layout is particularly useful when operating the thermal monocular one-handed, in darkness or while wearing gloves, allowing the user to concentrate on observing the animal rather than searching for different controls.

0.49-Inch Full HD OLED Display

Thermal images are presented through a large 0.49-inch 1920×1080 OLED display, providing a detailed and immersive viewing experience.

This larger display is a significant part of the Mile 3's design and is particularly beneficial during extended deer observation, wildlife surveys and prolonged night-time scanning, where viewing comfort can become just as important as outright sensor performance.

The M625 also provides six selectable thermal colour palettes: White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, Alarm, Green Hot and Sepia, allowing the display to be adapted to different environments and personal preferences.

Pocket-Sized 640 Thermal Performance

Despite incorporating a high-resolution 640 sensor and large OLED display, the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 weighs no more than approximately 290g and measures just 160 × 52.6 × 50.5mm.

That makes the M625 particularly attractive as an everyday thermal spotter. It can be carried easily in a jacket pocket or field bag and kept immediately accessible while stalking, surveying wildlife or working around an estate.

For users covering considerable distances on foot, the combination of 640-resolution performance and a sub-300g-class body is a major advantage over larger traditional thermal monoculars.

Rugged Magnesium-Alloy Construction

Lightweight does not mean fragile. The M625 uses a durable magnesium-alloy body, providing a strong but lightweight platform designed for regular outdoor use.

The monocular carries an IP67 protection rating and is specified for operation between -30°C and +55°C, making it suitable for demanding year-round conditions encountered by hunters, stalkers, gamekeepers and wildlife professionals.

Quick-Change 18650 Battery System

Rather than relying exclusively upon a sealed internal battery, the Mile 3 M625 uses a rechargeable, replaceable 18650 lithium battery.

The ability to quickly exchange batteries is particularly valuable during long stalking sessions, extended wildlife surveys and night-time pest control, as a fresh battery can simply be fitted when required.

Pixfra specifies at least 5 hours of operating time per battery at 25°C with Wi-Fi switched off.

64GB Recording & Wi-Fi Connectivity

The Pixfra M625 isn't limited to live observation. It incorporates photo and video recording with 64GB of internal storage, allowing significant encounters, wildlife observations and survey evidence to be captured directly through the thermal monocular.

A built-in Wi-Fi hotspot provides additional connectivity, while useful field functions include Hot Spot Tracking, Picture-in-Picture, compass, local album and multiple FFC calibration modes.

For wildlife researchers and ecologists, the ability to record thermal footage can be particularly useful for documenting animal presence, behaviour and survey observations.

Why Choose the Pixfra Mile 3 M625?

The Pixfra Mile 3 M625 is an excellent choice for anyone wanting a compact 640 thermal monocular primarily for finding and observing animals rather than measuring their distance.

Its combination of 640×512 resolution, ≤15mK NETD sensitivity and a wide 25mm lens makes it especially capable as a scanning thermal. For deer stalking, it allows large areas of woodland, clearfell and open ground to be searched quickly. For pest control, it provides fast detection of foxes, rabbits and other quarry, while wildlife professionals gain a lightweight thermal camera suitable for wildlife surveys, nocturnal observation and ecological monitoring.

Most importantly, the M625 delivers this performance in a body weighing approximately 290g, making it a thermal monocular that can genuinely be carried everywhere. Add PIPS 3.0 Pro, the 3-in-1 E-Wheel, Full HD OLED display, 64GB storage, replaceable batteries and rugged magnesium-alloy construction, and the Pixfra Mile 3 M625 offers an impressive balance between portability and high-end thermal imaging performance
