Further Information

The Pixfra Mile 3 M325 Thermal Monocular is a compact, lightweight thermal imager designed to deliver excellent everyday performance for deer stalking, hunting, pest control, wildlife observation, wildlife research and land management. Combining a 384×288 thermal sensor, exceptional ≤15mK NETD sensitivity, a fast 25mm F0.9 lens and Pixfra's latest PIPS 3.0 Pro image processing, the M325 provides impressive thermal detail in a genuinely pocket-sized package.

With 1.8× base magnification, a useful 19.3m × 14.3m field of view at 100 metres and detection capability out to 1300 metres, the Pixfra M325 offers an excellent balance between field of view and magnification. This makes it particularly versatile for scanning woodland, forestry, farmland, field margins and mixed terrain, where both rapid animal detection and useful identification detail are important.

≤15mK Thermal Sensitivity – Outstanding Performance in Difficult Conditions

One of the biggest advances found in the new Pixfra Mile 3 M325 is its exceptional ≤15mK NETD thermal sensitivity.

The M325 uses a 384×288 resolution, 12μm thermal detector operating at a smooth 50Hz. Its highly sensitive detector can distinguish extremely small temperature differences within a scene, helping reveal greater detail in both animals and their surroundings.

This becomes particularly valuable during damp, misty and low thermal-contrast conditions, when the temperature difference between wildlife and the surrounding vegetation may be relatively small.

For a deer stalker, this can help when searching woodland edges, rides and vegetation for partially concealed deer. For wildlife researchers and ecologists, improved thermal sensitivity can assist with detecting animals during nocturnal surveys while allowing observations to be carried out with minimal disturbance.

25mm F0.9 Lens – A Versatile Everyday Thermal Spotter

The 25mm F0.9 objective lens gives the M325 a particularly useful balance between magnification and field of view.

At its native 1.8× magnification, the M325 provides a 19.3m horizontal field of view at 100 metres, giving the observer plenty of surrounding landscape when scanning. Up to 8× digital zoom can then be used when a heat source requires closer examination.

The M325 is therefore particularly well suited to:

  • Deer stalking and deer management
  • Woodland and forestry scanning
  • Locating deer around woodland rides and clearings
  • Fox and pest detection
  • Rabbit and vermin control
  • Farm and estate management
  • Wildlife surveys and population monitoring
  • Ecological fieldwork
  • Nocturnal wildlife observation
  • General hunting and outdoor use

For users who want a single compact thermal monocular capable of handling a wide variety of situations, the M325's 25mm lens and 1.8× magnification make it a highly versatile option.

Up to 1300m Thermal Detection Range

Despite its small dimensions, the Pixfra Mile 3 M325 offers a stated thermal detection distance of up to 1300 metres.

That provides more than enough reach for most everyday stalking, hunting and wildlife applications, allowing distant heat signatures to be detected before the user moves closer for further observation.

Across open fields and farmland, this can help a pest controller locate foxes or other quarry at distance. On a deer stalking outing, it provides an efficient way of checking distant woodland edges, clearfell and open ground before committing to a route.

PIPS 3.0 Pro AI-Powered Thermal Imaging

The Mile 3 M325 features Pixfra PIPS 3.0 Pro, the latest generation of the company's thermal image processing technology.

PIPS 3.0 Pro uses AI-powered processing to enhance fine thermal detail, minimise image noise and optimise image balance. Pixfra has also designed the system to improve detector responsiveness in cold weather and deliver consistent image quality across close and more distant scenes.

This allows the M325 to extract more useful visual information from its 384×288 detector, helping the observer distinguish animals and interpret their surroundings more effectively.

3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel

A major feature of the Pixfra Mile 3 Series is the innovative 3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel, designed to make operating the thermal monocular quicker and more intuitive.

The single control combines focus, digital zoom and menu navigation, reducing the number of controls the user needs to locate while operating the thermal in darkness. Pixfra describes the system as suitable for silent, one-handed operation, including while wearing gloves.

For hunters and wildlife professionals, this streamlined design makes it easier to continue watching a moving animal while making adjustments without constantly changing grip or looking down at the monocular.

Large 0.49-Inch Full HD OLED Display

Although the M325 is compact, Pixfra has equipped it with a generous 0.49-inch 1920×1080 OLED display.

The high-resolution display provides an immersive and comfortable view of the thermal image, particularly useful when spending long periods scanning for deer, foxes or wildlife.

Six selectable thermal colour palettes are available:

White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, Alarm, Green Hot and Sepia.

This allows users to select a thermal presentation that best suits the environment, target species and their own viewing preference.

Pocket-Sized Thermal Imaging

One of the strongest reasons to choose the Pixfra Mile 3 M325 is portability.

The monocular measures just 160 × 52.6 × 50.5mm and weighs no more than approximately 300g, making it extremely easy to carry in a stalking jacket, bino harness or field bag.

For stalkers and wildlife professionals who cover significant distances on foot, this is a major advantage. The M325 can remain immediately accessible for frequent scanning without the bulk and fatigue associated with a larger thermal imager.

Rugged Magnesium-Alloy Construction

The compact Mile 3 body uses durable magnesium-alloy construction, giving the M325 a strong yet lightweight chassis suitable for demanding outdoor environments.

It carries an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating and has a specified operating temperature range of -30°C to +55°C, making it suitable for year-round field use in challenging British weather.

Whether carried across wet hill ground, used around muddy farmland or taken into woodland during winter, the Mile 3 has been designed as a practical working thermal rather than simply a fair-weather device.

Replaceable 18650 Battery System

The Pixfra M325 uses a rechargeable, replaceable 18650 lithium battery, providing greater flexibility for prolonged field use than a permanently sealed internal battery.

Pixfra specifies at least 5.5 hours of operating time at 25°C with Wi-Fi switched off.

For long stalking days, extended wildlife surveys or pest-control work running well into the night, the quick-change battery design means a fresh battery can be fitted when required.

64GB Recording, Wi-Fi & Useful Field Features

The M325 incorporates 64GB of built-in storage together with photo and video recording, allowing users to document thermal observations directly through the monocular.

This can be particularly useful for wildlife surveys and ecological work, where recording an observation may be valuable for later review.

Additional functionality includes Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, Hot Spot Tracking, Picture-in-Picture, digital compass, microphone, local album and multiple FFC calibration options, giving the M325 an impressive feature set for such a compact thermal monocular.

Why Choose the Pixfra Mile 3 M325?

The Pixfra Mile 3 M325 is arguably the all-rounder of the 384-resolution Mile 3 range. Where the longer-lensed M335 prioritises magnification and distance, the M325's 25mm lens, 1.8× base magnification and wider 19.3m field of view create a more versatile thermal spotter for mixed terrain.

For deer stalking, that means an effective balance between scanning woodland and observing animals across more open ground. For pest controllers and gamekeepers, the 1300m detection capability provides plenty of reach for locating foxes and other quarry. For wildlife researchers and ecologists, its combination of high thermal sensitivity, portability and recording capability makes it a practical tool for nocturnal wildlife surveys and monitoring.

With ≤15mK sensitivity, PIPS 3.0 Pro processing, a large Full HD OLED display, 3-in-1 E-Wheel, 64GB storage and quick-change battery system, the Pixfra Mile 3 M325 thermal monocular packs an impressive level of performance into a compact and affordable 384-resolution platform.
