Further Information

The Pixfra Mile 3 M335 Thermal Monocular is a compact, high-performance 384×288 thermal imager designed for users who need increased identification performance and detection range without moving to a larger 640-resolution thermal. Combining a 35mm F0.9 objective lens, class-leading ≤15mK NETD thermal sensitivity, PIPS 3.0 Pro AI-powered image processing and a large 0.49-inch Full HD OLED display, the M335 offers an impressive specification for its compact size.

With its higher 2.5× base magnification and long 1800 metre detection range, the Pixfra Mile 3 M335 is particularly well suited to deer stalking, deer management, foxing, pest control, hunting, wildlife observation and professional wildlife surveys. The 35mm lens provides greater reach and target detail than the wider-angle M325, making the M335 an excellent choice for scanning open farmland, hill ground, forestry, moorland and larger estates.

384×288 Thermal Sensor with ≤15mK Sensitivity

At the heart of the Pixfra Mile 3 M335 is a 384×288 resolution, 12μm thermal sensor operating at a smooth 50Hz frame rate. What really sets this latest Mile generation apart, however, is its exceptional ≤15mK NETD thermal sensitivity.

The lower the NETD figure, the smaller the temperature differences a thermal imager can distinguish. This allows the M335 to reveal subtle thermal variations within an animal and its surroundings, producing greater definition when conditions become difficult.

For deer stalking and wildlife observation, this is especially valuable during damp mornings, mist, drizzle and other low thermal-contrast conditions. Greater thermal sensitivity can make it easier to distinguish deer and other wildlife from vegetation, trees and the surrounding landscape.

35mm F0.9 Lens for Increased Range

The M335 differentiates itself from the other compact Mile 3 models with its 35mm F0.9 objective lens.

Combined with the 384×288 detector, the 35mm lens provides 2.5× base magnification, a 13.6m × 10.3m field of view at 100 metres and an impressive stated 1800 metre thermal detection distance.

This specification makes the M335 particularly attractive for users who regularly scan across greater distances. It is an excellent choice for:

  • Deer stalking and deer management
  • Foxing and professional pest control
  • Scanning open farmland and large fields
  • Hill and moorland stalking
  • Woodland and forestry management
  • Estate and game management
  • Wildlife population surveys
  • Nocturnal wildlife observation
  • Ecological and conservation work
  • Locating animals before first light or after sunset

The increased native magnification means animals appear larger in the image before digital zoom is applied, making the M335 particularly suited to medium and longer-distance observation.

Up to 1800m Thermal Detection Range

With a quoted maximum detection distance of 1800 metres, the Pixfra M335 has the longest detection range within the Mile 3 models covered by Pixfra's launch comparison.

That makes it particularly useful across large agricultural fields, open hillsides, moorland and clearfell, where heat sources may initially be encountered at considerable distances.

For deer managers, gamekeepers and pest controllers covering large areas, the additional reach of the 35mm lens can be more useful than an ultra-wide field of view.

PIPS 3.0 Pro AI-Powered Image Processing

The Mile 3 M335 benefits from Pixfra's latest PIPS 3.0 Pro imaging technology, one of the major upgrades introduced with the Mile 3 generation.

PIPS – the Pixfra Image Processing System – uses AI-powered processing to enhance fine thermal detail, reduce image noise and improve overall image balance. Pixfra also states that PIPS 3.0 Pro improves detector responsiveness in cold conditions and maintains image performance across both close and longer-range scenes.

This is especially relevant on a 384-resolution thermal such as the M335, helping the device extract maximum useful detail from the detector when observing animals at distance or increasing digital magnification.

3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel

The Pixfra Mile 3 Series introduces an innovative 3-in-1 Integrated E-Wheel, simplifying several of the thermal monocular's most frequently used controls.

The E-Wheel combines focus, digital zoom and menu navigation into a single intuitive control. Rotate the wheel to adjust focus, press to control zoom and use the same wheel for menu operation.

Pixfra has designed the system specifically to make the Mile 3 easier to operate one-handed and in complete darkness, which is particularly useful for hunters, deer stalkers, gamekeepers and wildlife professionals working at night.

Large 0.49-Inch Full HD OLED Display

Although the M335 itself remains extremely compact, the viewing system certainly doesn't feel small.

A large 0.49-inch 1920×1080 OLED display provides a detailed and immersive image, giving the user a comfortable view during extended periods of scanning and observation.

The M335 also provides six selectable thermal colour palettes:

White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, Alarm, Green Hot and Sepia.

Different palettes can be useful for different applications, whether searching rapidly for a heat source, examining animal detail or reducing eye fatigue during prolonged night-time observation.

Compact Thermal Imager for Stalking & Pest Control

Despite the increased reach of its 35mm objective lens, the Pixfra Mile 3 M335 remains remarkably portable.

It measures approximately 170.5 × 52.6 × 50.5mm and weighs no more than 310g, providing considerable thermal capability in a device that can easily be carried in a stalking jacket or field bag.

This makes the M335 especially appealing as an everyday thermal spotter. Whether walking several miles across a deer forest, checking farmland for foxes or conducting a night-time wildlife survey, its compact dimensions minimise the amount of equipment that needs to be carried.

Rugged Magnesium-Alloy Construction

The Mile 3's lightweight construction is combined with a durable magnesium-alloy body, providing the strength and rigidity required for regular outdoor use.

The M335 carries an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating and is specified to operate between -30°C and +55°C, allowing it to cope with challenging weather and temperature conditions throughout the hunting and wildlife management seasons.

Replaceable 18650 Battery System

The Pixfra Mile 3 M335 uses a rechargeable and replaceable 18650 lithium battery, providing an important practical advantage for users spending long periods away from a power source.

Pixfra quotes an operating time of at least 5.5 hours per battery at 25°C with Wi-Fi switched off. A depleted battery can simply be exchanged for a charged one, making the system well suited to extended stalking sessions, night-time pest control and professional wildlife fieldwork.

64GB Recording & Wi-Fi

With 64GB of built-in storage, the M335 can capture both thermal photographs and video, allowing interesting encounters, wildlife observations or survey evidence to be recorded directly through the monocular.

The M335 also features a Wi-Fi hotspot, Hot Spot Tracking, Picture-in-Picture, digital compass, microphone and local album, giving the compact thermal considerably more functionality than simply detecting heat.

For wildlife researchers, ecologists and land managers, the ability to record thermal observations can be particularly valuable when documenting animal presence and behaviour.

Why Choose the Pixfra Mile 3 M335?

The Pixfra Mile 3 M335 occupies an interesting position in the new Mile range. Its 384×288 detector keeps the monocular compact and accessible, while the longer 35mm F0.9 lens and 2.5× base magnification give it considerably more emphasis on distance than a typical wide-angle thermal spotter.

For foxing and pest control, that additional magnification is ideal for searching large fields and examining distant heat sources. For deer stalking and deer management, the M335 is particularly well suited to open hill, forestry, farmland and larger estates where animals are regularly spotted at greater distances. Wildlife professionals similarly gain a compact thermal imager capable of surveying large areas without carrying a bulky device.

Combine that with the ≤15mK sensor sensitivity, PIPS 3.0 Pro processing, large Full HD OLED display, 3-in-1 E-Wheel, 64GB recording and replaceable battery system, and the Pixfra Mile 3 M335 delivers a very strong balance of range, portability and image quality.
