Designed to make thermal wildlife observation simple and accessible, the NocPix Rovex combines an unusual large-screen handheld design with NocPix thermal imaging technology.
At its heart is a 384x288 thermal sensor with 12μm pixel pitch, paired with a fast 15mm F0.8 manual-focus objective lens. Thermal sensitivity of ≤25mK NETD enables the Rovex to recognise small temperature differences and produce detailed thermal imagery when observing wildlife.
The wide 17.5° x 13.1° field of view makes the Rovex particularly well suited to scanning woodland, fields and other environments where quickly locating animals is more important than high base magnification.
Large 5-Inch LCD Display
One of the defining features of the NocPix Rovex is its 5-inch 1280x720 LCD display. Instead of relying on a conventional monocular eyepiece, the large screen provides a comfortable way to view the thermal image and observe a scene.
The Rovex remains highly portable at just 290g without the battery, giving wildlife observers a lightweight thermal camera that can be carried into the field.

The Rovex features a 384x288 resolution thermal sensor, 12μm pixel pitch and thermal sensitivity of ≤25mK NETD.
This high level of thermal sensitivity helps reveal fine differences in temperature and assists with locating wildlife concealed amongst woods, grass and vegetation. The camera can be used during the morning, at night and in overcast conditions.
Reality+ 2.0 AI and R+ Super Resolution
NocPix equips the Rovex with Reality+ 2.0 AI and R+ Super Resolution, providing intelligent image processing alongside its thermal sensor.
AI-powered smart tracking provides intelligent colour-coded alerts, helping the observer identify and follow thermal targets within the scene.
Dedicated Birding, Rain & Fog Modes
The NocPix Rovex offers three image modes:

These dedicated scene modes allow the thermal image to be adapted to different observation conditions and applications.
Users can also select from four thermal colour palettes: Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot and Pseudocolour.
Wide Field of View and 400m Detection Range
The Rovex combines its 15mm F0.8 objective with a wide 17.5° x 13.1° field of view, making it ideal for scanning an area and finding wildlife.
A stated 400m detection range gives the Rovex useful reach for spotting thermal targets at distance, while 1-4x digital zoom provides additional flexibility when examining a target.
Wi-Fi, Photo and Video Connectivity
Built-in Wi-Fi, photo and video functionality makes it easy to capture observations in the field. The Rovex also supports wireless APP connection and control, allowing the thermal camera to connect with a compatible mobile device.
USB-C charging provides convenient power management, while the replaceable 21700 Li-ion battery provides up to 4 hours maximum operating time.
