Crafted from Carbon Fibre for serious backcountry hunters and shooters, this tripod blends premium materials and thoughtful design features to deliver dependable support in the most demanding terrain.
Weighing just 1.4 kg (3 lbs 1.4 oz), the Ascent Gen 2 remains lightweight yet durable thanks to a construction of hard-anodised 7075 aluminium and multi-layer carbon fibre. Its legs double as detachable trekking poles, allowing you to reduce load and fatigue during long ascents.
With four adjustable leg angles (23°, 35°, 51°, 74°), full 360° traverse, and ±45° of elevation/depression, this tripod adapts easily to complex shooting stances and uneven ground.
Built-in MagnaSwitch™ quick-detach system lets you mount or remove rifles and optics in seconds, while oversized leg locks and latches allow for reliable operation even with gloved hands. Tungsten carbide leg tips with tethered synthetic boots make sure your footing remains solid, regardless of surface. The Ascent supports calibres up to .300 RUM and can carry up to 44 lbs / 20 kg in its optimal configuration.
When packed, it measures 24" (61 cm) in length and 3.6" (9.1 cm) in diameter — compact enough to carry comfortably on the trail.

Spartan Ascent Tripod Mountain Gen 2 vs Woodland Gen 2
The Spartan Ascent Tripod Gen 2 range offers two purpose-built variants to suit different hunting environments — Mountain and Woodland. Both share the same rugged Spartan DNA, featuring the MagnaSwitch™ quick-detach system, hard-anodised 7075 aluminium and carbon fibre construction, and four adjustable leg angles for superior stability on any surface.
The Mountain Gen 2 is designed for hunters who prioritise mobility and lightweight gear. Weighing around 1.4 kg, it’s compact, fast to deploy, and packs down to 24″ (61 cm), making it ideal for long treks, steep terrain, or backcountry expeditions where every gram counts.
The Woodland Gen 2, on the other hand, is built for extended height and versatility. It offers a taller working range — up to 70″ (177 cm) — giving you greater reach for standing or elevated shots and better visibility when glassing over cover. At around 1.7 kg, it’s slightly heavier but provides a wider range of use in mixed or dense environments.
