Further Information

The RIX Glint G2 Thermal Riflescope brings together thermal imaging, long-range laser rangefinding and integrated ballistic calculation in a lightweight and accessible thermal scope designed for pest control, vermin control and night-time shooting.

Built around a 256×192, 12μm VOx thermal sensor with <25mK NETD sensitivity, the Glint G2 is capable of detecting heat signatures in complete darkness and challenging weather conditions. A fast 25mm F1.0 germanium objective lens and smooth 50Hz refresh rate provide responsive thermal imagery, with a detection range of up to 1300 metres.

Where the RIX Glint G2 really stands out is its combination of an integrated 1500m laser rangefinder and onboard ballistic calculation, providing the shooter with valuable distance and ballistic information directly through the riflescope.

256×192 Thermal Imaging with <25mK Sensitivity

At the heart of the RIX Glint G2 thermal scope is a 256×192 resolution VOx detector with a small 12μm pixel pitch.

Its <25mK NETD thermal sensitivity enables the sensor to distinguish relatively small differences in temperature, helping animals and other heat sources stand out against their surroundings.

Combined with a 50Hz frame rate, the Glint G2 provides smooth imaging when scanning or following moving targets, making it particularly well suited to rabbit control, ratting, fox control and other night-time pest management applications.

25mm F1.0 Objective Lens

The Glint G2 features a 25mm F1.0 objective lens, providing a useful balance between magnification, field of view and detection distance.

A base optical magnification of 3.5× provides useful detail at typical shooting distances, while its 7.0° × 4.7° field of view equates to approximately 12.3 × 8.3 metres at 100 metres.

Thermal detection extends to an impressive 1300 metres, allowing users to locate heat sources at considerably greater distances before moving on to identification and engagement.

Adaptive Clarity in Changing Weather

Powered by advanced image processing algorithms, GLINT dynamically enhances image clarity and contrast across changing environments.

Its dedicated Weather Mode, including a specialized Rain Mode, is designed to maintain clearer target definition in humid, rainy, or foggy conditions where thermal image quality typically begins to degrade.

Integrated 1500m Laser Rangefinder

Accurate ranging is an important part of responsible shooting, particularly when operating at night when judging distance visually can become considerably more difficult.

The RIX Glint G2 LRF incorporates a laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances out to 1500 metres, with a stated ranging accuracy of ±1 metre.

Rather than carrying a separate rangefinder, users can obtain accurate distance information directly through the thermal riflescope.

Integrated Ballistic Calculation

The Glint G2 goes beyond simple laser rangefinding with an onboard ballistic calculation function.

Combining accurate distance measurement with ballistic data gives the shooter additional information to help determine the appropriate point of aim at different ranges.

This combination of thermal imaging, LRF and ballistic calculation gives the Glint G2 a feature set normally associated with more advanced thermal riflescopes.

Full HD AMOLED Display

Although the Glint G2 uses a 256×192 thermal detector, the image is presented through a high-resolution 1920×1080 AMOLED display.

The Full HD display provides a detailed viewing interface for the thermal image, menus, rangefinding information and other on-screen functions.

A generous 48mm eye relief also contributes to comfortable viewing when the unit is mounted to a rifle.

Lightweight 625g Design

At just 625g, the RIX Glint G2 has been designed to keep additional weight on the rifle to a minimum.

Its relatively lightweight and balanced construction makes it particularly attractive for shooters who may spend extended periods carrying a rifle while foxing, rabbit shooting or undertaking professional pest control.

The Glint G2 measures 306 × 107 × 90mm and is supplied with a Picatinny ring mounting set.

Flexible 21700 & 18650 Battery System

Rather than relying exclusively on a proprietary battery pack, the RIX Glint G2 thermal riflescope operates using replaceable 21700 batteries and can also accept 18650 batteries using the supplied adapter sleeve.

Battery operating time is rated at up to approximately 6.5 hours at 25°C, while USB Type-C connectivity allows the scope to accept an external 5V power supply.

This flexible power system makes carrying spare batteries straightforward during longer nights in the field.

Record Your Thermal Footage

With 64GB of internal storage, the RIX Glint G2 can capture both photographs and video directly through the thermal riflescope.

Video and photographs are recorded at 1200×804 resolution, allowing memorable shots, pest-control activity and thermal observations to be stored for later viewing.

Built for Field Use

The Glint G2 carries an IP67 protection rating, providing protection against the wet, muddy and demanding conditions regularly encountered during UK field use.

It is designed to operate across temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C, making it suitable for year-round thermal shooting applications.
