The PIXFRA Arc A613 Pro Thermal Imaging Monocular combines a high-resolution 640×512 thermal sensor, outstanding <18mK NETD thermal sensitivity, wide 32.3° field of view and an extended 700 metre detection range to create an exceptionally versatile thermal imager for wildlife observation, professional ecology, bat surveys, estate management and land management.

Building on the success of the original Arc A613, the new Arc A613 Pro delivers a significant improvement in thermal sensitivity. Its advanced 640×512, 12μm thermal sensor can distinguish extremely small differences in temperature, producing greater thermal detail in difficult, low-contrast environments such as woodland, dense vegetation, wetland and poor weather conditions.

Unlike many 640-resolution thermal monoculars that prioritise magnification and narrow the visible area, the PIXFRA Arc A613 Pro provides an impressive 32.3° wide field of view. This allows users to monitor a much larger area through the thermal imager, making it particularly effective for locating and following moving wildlife, monitoring habitats and conducting professional ecological surveys.

Further Information

High Performance 640×512 Thermal Sensor

At the heart of the Arc A613 Pro is a high-resolution 640×512, 12μm thermal imaging sensor.

Combined with exceptional <18mK NETD thermal sensitivity, the A613 Pro is capable of revealing subtle differences in heat that can become difficult to distinguish with less sensitive thermal detectors.

This enhanced sensitivity is particularly valuable when operating in environments where there is little temperature difference between an animal and its surroundings.

Woodland, vegetation, damp conditions and changing weather can all reduce thermal contrast. The increased sensitivity of the Arc A613 Pro helps retain detail under these challenging conditions, making it an excellent choice for professional fieldwork.

Wide 32.3° Field of View

A major advantage of the PIXFRA Arc A613 Pro is its exceptionally wide 32.3° field of view.

For ecological and wildlife applications, a wide thermal field of view can be more useful than high optical magnification. It enables the operator to see a significantly larger section of the surrounding environment at once, reducing the amount of scanning required to locate wildlife.

This makes the Arc A613 Pro particularly effective for:

  • Professional ecological surveys
  • Bat emergence and activity surveys
  • Wildlife monitoring
  • Nocturnal wildlife observation
  • Deer and mammal surveys
  • Habitat monitoring
  • Woodland observation
  • Wetland surveys
  • Estate and land management
  • Rural property and boundary observation

The combination of a wide field of view and high-resolution 640 thermal sensor also makes fast-moving animals considerably easier to locate and follow through the monocular.

Extended 700 Metre Thermal Detection Range

Despite its wide field of view, the Arc A613 Pro thermal monocular still delivers an impressive thermal detection range of up to 700 metres.

This provides considerably more reach than specialist ultra-wide thermal imagers and allows heat sources to be detected across larger areas of farmland, woodland, wetlands, nature reserves and open countryside.

For professional ecologists and wildlife managers, this allows animals to be observed from a greater distance with minimal disturbance to their natural behaviour.

The combination of 700m detection, 1.1× base magnification and 32.3° FOV gives the A613 Pro an excellent balance between detection distance and situational awareness.

Ideal for Professional Ecology & Bat Surveys

The PIXFRA Arc A613 Pro has been designed with professional ecological fieldwork firmly in mind.

During bat surveys, for example, the wide 32.3° viewing angle makes it easier to cover a larger section of a building, treeline or habitat and follow fast-moving subjects through the thermal image.

Thermal imaging can also complement other ecological survey equipment by providing a visual representation of animal movement in complete darkness.

For longer surveys, the Arc A613 Pro can be tripod mounted, allowing the thermal camera to continuously observe and record a fixed area while the surveyor concentrates on other monitoring equipment.

Built-In Video & Audio Recording

Professional wildlife and ecological observation often requires more than simply detecting an animal.

The Arc A613 Pro features built-in video recording with audio, allowing thermal footage to be captured directly onto the monocular's generous 32GB internal memory.

Recorded footage can then be reviewed after the survey, providing valuable additional information for analysing animal movement, behaviour and activity.

When tripod mounted, users can position the A613 Pro towards a particular area, begin recording and allow the thermal monocular to capture activity while other aspects of the survey are conducted.

PIXFRA App & Multi-Device Screen Sharing

Built-in connectivity allows the PIXFRA Arc A613 Pro to communicate with the free PIXFRA smartphone app.

Once connected, users can remotely access settings and digital functions from their smartphone.

Even more useful for professional survey teams is the ability to share the thermal image with up to four smartphones simultaneously.

This allows several members of a survey team to observe the same thermal image without having to pass the monocular between operators – particularly useful during ecological surveys, demonstrations, wildlife research and group observations.

Compact Thermal Imaging for Demanding Fieldwork

Despite its professional thermal imaging performance, the Arc A613 Pro retains the compact and lightweight design philosophy of the PIXFRA Arc range.

Its IP67 protection rating helps protect the thermal imager against dust and moisture, while an operating temperature range from approximately -30°C to +55°C makes it suitable for demanding outdoor environments throughout the year.

Whether surveying wildlife on a cold winter morning, conducting a bat survey on a summer evening or monitoring animals in wet woodland, the Arc A613 Pro has been designed to remain a dependable thermal observation tool.
