The Garmin Xero® L60i Laser Rangefinder is a powerful, multi-role ranging and navigation device designed for search and rescue teams, outdoor professionals, land managers, shooters and hunters. Combining long-range laser ranging with GPS mapping, waypoint projection and a full-colour augmented reality display, the Xero L60i allows users to locate, mark, navigate to and safely return from distant points of interest — whether that’s a lost walker, casualty location, wildlife, terrain feature or target.

Far more than a traditional laser rangefinder, the Xero L60i delivers real-time situational awareness, making it an invaluable tool for SAR operations, remote navigation, hill safety and professional fieldwork.

Equipped with high-quality optics and a powerful laser engine, the Garmin Xero® L60i accurately ranges:
People, animals and natural features at extended distances
Trees, terrain and landmarks beyond typical handheld GPS visibility
Reflective objects at extreme range
This capability is ideal for search and rescue scenarios, allowing teams to measure distance to a suspected casualty position, identify safe approach routes, or assess terrain separation before committing resources.

Using Laser Locate™ technology, the Xero L60i enables users to create an exact GPS waypoint for anything they range — including lost walkers, stranded individuals, vehicles or equipment. When line-of-sight laser ranging isn’t possible, Sensor Locate estimates the position using GPS, compass and inclinometer data.
These waypoints can then be:
Navigated to directly on the device
Shared with compatible Garmin devices
Used to guide teams safely back to marked locations
This makes the Xero L60i a highly effective tool for incident coordination and field navigation.

The integrated full-colour augmented reality viewfinder overlays distance, directional arrows, elevation data and mapping information directly onto what you’re viewing. Built-in TopoActive GPS maps allow users to understand terrain, routes and relative positions instantly — without switching devices.
For search and rescue teams, this provides rapid orientation in unfamiliar terrain, while outdoor users benefit from improved safety and navigation confidence.
The Visual Recall feature guides users back to previously ranged waypoints using clear on-screen cues. This is particularly valuable when:
Re-locating a casualty after temporary loss of visual contact
Returning to a marked position in poor visibility
Navigating back to a previously identified landmark or observation point
In addition to its SAR and navigation strengths, the Garmin Xero® L60i supports Applied Ballistics® Ultralight via the AB Quantum app. This makes it equally suitable for precision shooting, professional pest control and long-range hunting, with environmental data used to calculate accurate firing solutions when required.
Designed for demanding environments, the Xero L60i features:
IPX7 water resistance for wet and harsh conditions
Intuitive, glove-friendly controls
Automatic display brightness adjustment
Power via replaceable AAA batteries, ideal for extended field use
Whether carried by a mountain rescue volunteer, estate manager or professional guide, it’s built to perform when conditions are challenging.
