NocPix ACE 2 S60R Thermal Scope - Further Information
The NocPix ACE 2 S60R Thermal Scope is the flagship model in the next-generation ACE 2 series, combining an exceptional 1280×1024 HD thermal sensor with ultra-sensitive ≤12mK NETD, premium F1.0 thermal optics and NocPix's latest R+ 2.0 image-processing technology.
Designed to deliver thermal image quality approaching the visual fidelity of premium daytime optics, the ACE 2 S60R represents a major step forward for high-definition thermal riflescopes. Its proprietary 1280 thermal detector captures more than 1.3 million thermal pixels, providing four times the pixel count of a conventional 640×512 sensor and delivering exceptional levels of target definition, environmental detail and image clarity.
With 2-28x digital magnification and 1-3x optical zoom, the Ace S60R thermal scope provides a staggering detection range of up to 3100m.
But the new NocPix ACE 2 platform goes considerably further than sensor resolution alone. Dual Mode Clarity allows the shooter to optimise imaging for moving or stationary targets, while Ocular Zoom 2.0, Intelligent Tracking, an integrated 1200m LRF 2.0 and advanced ballistic calculation create a highly sophisticated thermal shooting system for serious foxing, deer management and professional pest control.
1280×1024 Gen 3 HD Thermal Sensor
At the heart of the NocPix ACE 2 S60R is its flagship 1280×1024 Gen 3 HD thermal imaging sensor.
With 1,310,720 individual thermal pixels, the detector captures an extraordinary amount of information from the thermal scene. That's four times the pixel count of a 640×512 detector, giving the S60R considerably more image data from which to reproduce fine target and environmental detail.
This increased resolution becomes especially important when observing smaller targets at distance or increasing magnification. Where lower-resolution thermal images can progressively lose definition as digital magnification increases, the huge native resolution available to the ACE 2 S60R HD thermal scope provides far more information to work with.
For the shooter, the objective isn't simply to detect a heat source — it's to see more detail within the heat signature and considerably more information around it.
≤12mK NETD – Exceptional Thermal Sensitivity
High resolution needs high thermal sensitivity to match.
Across the new ACE 2 platform, NocPix combines its proprietary detectors with NETD sensitivity as low as 12mK, allowing extremely subtle differences in temperature to be represented within the thermal image.
This is particularly important when environmental conditions reduce natural thermal contrast. Mist, rain, humidity, vegetation and changing ambient temperatures can make animals increasingly difficult to distinguish from their surroundings.
The combination of the ACE 2's highly sensitive detector and enormous HD resolution is designed to retain subtle thermal information across both the target and surrounding environment, producing greater definition where lesser thermal systems can begin to produce flatter, less informative images.
F1.0 Ultra-Large Aperture Thermal Optics
The ACE 2's advanced detector is supported by a premium F1.0 ultra-large aperture thermal optical system.
A fast F1.0 aperture allows a high level of thermal energy to reach the detector, giving the sensor more information from which to construct the final image.
Combined with the 1280×1024 detector, ≤12mK-class sensitivity and R+ 2.0 processing, this creates a complete imaging system designed around maximum thermal detail rather than relying on sensor resolution alone.
R+ 2.0 – Next-Generation Thermal Image Processing
The enormous amount of thermal information captured by the S60R's HD detector is further enhanced by NocPix's latest R+ 2.0 imaging algorithm.

R+ 2.0 is designed to extract more usable detail from the sensor data, producing cleaner backgrounds, sharper target definition and more realistic representation of the thermal environment.
Fine variations across an animal, vegetation, trees, hedgerows and surrounding terrain can therefore be reproduced with greater clarity, helping the shooter understand exactly what they are looking at rather than simply identifying a bright thermal silhouette.
This combination of 1280 HD resolution, high thermal sensitivity, F1.0 optics and R+ 2.0 processing is central to what makes the ACE 2 S60R a genuine flagship thermal riflescope.
Dual Mode Clarity – Motion & Still
The NocPix ACE 2 introduces Dual Mode Clarity, allowing the thermal image to be optimised according to what is happening in front of the shooter.

Motion Mode prioritises fluid image reproduction when tracking moving animals, helping minimise ghosting and lag when following fast-moving targets.
Still Mode shifts the emphasis towards maximum fine detail, enhancing subtle information within the target, foliage and surrounding terrain. This can provide additional visual information when identifying an animal or examining a stationary target.
Instead of using a single processing profile for every situation, the ACE 2 S60R can adapt its HD thermal image for either movement or maximum detail.
Ocular Zoom 2.0
The huge native resolution of the ACE 2 S60R makes magnification an especially important part of its performance.
Ocular Zoom 2.0 has been developed to provide a more refined magnification experience, helping the shooter inspect distant targets while making better use of the enormous amount of detail available from the 1280×1024 HD thermal detector.
For long-range observation and positive identification, the combination of HD resolution and NocPix's latest zoom technology gives the S60R a significant advantage over lower-resolution thermal riflescopes.
Central Focus System
The NocPix ACE 2 S60R features a centrally positioned focus wheel, designed to make precise focus adjustment faster and more intuitive while using the scope. Its convenient position places focus control directly at the shooter's fingertips, allowing the thermal image to be quickly sharpened as target distance or viewing conditions change without having to reach forward towards the objective lens.

This Central Focus System is particularly valuable when operating at night or following animals across varying distances. The shooter can adjust focus while maintaining their normal aiming position and keeping the target within view, reducing unnecessary movement and helping maintain awareness of the scene. Combined with the ACE 2 S60R's 1280×1024 HD thermal sensor, the system makes it easier to extract the maximum available image detail quickly and comfortably.
Integrated 1200m LRF 2.0
The ACE 2 platform features an integrated LRF 2.0 laser rangefinder with ranging capability out to 1200 metres.
Accurate ranging is incorporated directly into the thermal sight, allowing the shooter to establish target distance without moving away from the optic or relying on a separate rangefinder.
This is particularly valuable at night, when judging distance across open fields and featureless terrain can be significantly more difficult than during daylight.
Advanced Ballistic Calculator
Knowing the range is only part of the equation.
The ACE 2 combines its 1200m LRF 2.0 with an advanced ballistic calculation system, incorporating factors including inclination and wind drift to provide more useful shooting information at varying distances.

By bringing thermal observation, ranging and ballistic calculation together within one system, the ACE 2 is designed to help the shooter make faster, better-informed decisions without moving between separate devices.
Intelligent Target Tracking
The new ACE 2 platform also introduces Intelligent Tracking, adding another level of situational awareness to the thermal riflescope.
Combining ranging information with an electronic compass and intelligent processing, the system is designed to help establish positional information for a target.

For users operating across extensive farmland, estates, woodland or open countryside, this adds a powerful new capability beyond conventional thermal detection and ranging.
Full Magnesium Alloy Body – Under 1000g
Despite the considerable technology inside the ACE 2, NocPix has placed a major emphasis on reducing weight.
The new platform uses a full magnesium-alloy body and has been engineered to remain under 1000g, creating a flagship thermal scope that doesn't require excessive weight to achieve its performance.
Reducing the mass mounted on the rifle helps improve balance and handling, particularly during long nights of foxing or professional pest-control work where the rifle may be carried for hours at a time.
7000J Impact Resistance
Lightweight construction hasn't come at the expense of strength.
The rugged magnesium ACE 2 platform has been engineered with impact resistance up to 7000J, providing the durability required from a serious rifle-mounted thermal optic.
The combination of a sub-1kg magnesium construction and 7000J resistance gives the new ACE 2 an impressive balance between portability, strength and field durability.
Up to 8 Hours Operating Endurance
The ACE 2 platform provides up to 8 hours of operating endurance, helping provide the battery performance required for prolonged sessions in the field.
For professional pest controllers and fox shooters working throughout the night, extended operating time means less concern about power and more time concentrating on the job at hand.
