LongShot Ranger Plus Target Camera System - Further Information

The LongShot Ranger Plus Target Camera System is a purpose-built wireless target camera for rifle shooting, giving shooters a clear, live HD view of their target from distances of up to 1000 yards.

Designed for long-range rifle shooting, target shooting, rifle zeroing, load development, precision shooting and range practice, the Ranger Plus lets you see bullet impacts from the firing point without repeatedly walking downrange or relying on a high-magnification spotting scope.

Position the camera approximately 10–15 feet behind and slightly offset from the target, return to the firing point and view the target directly on a compatible smartphone or tablet using the LongShot App. Because the Ranger Plus creates its own wireless connection between the camera and receiver, no internet connection, mobile phone signal or range Wi-Fi is required.

See Your Shots at Up to 1000 Yards

Whether you're zeroing a hunting rifle at 100 metres or testing your shooting ability at considerably longer distances, spotting bullet holes can quickly become difficult through conventional optics.

The LongShot Ranger Plus 1000 Yard target camera places an HD camera close to the target and transmits the image back to the shooter. Instead of trying to resolve a tiny bullet hole through hundreds of metres of atmospheric distortion, you're effectively viewing the target from only a few metres away.

With a wireless operating range of up to 1000 yards, the Ranger Plus is particularly well suited to long-range rifle ranges, precision rifle shooting, centrefire rifle zeroing, PRS practice, ELR training and steel target shooting.

Live HD Target Viewing

The Ranger Plus provides 1920 × 1080 Full HD resolution, delivering a detailed live view of your target directly to a compatible iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.

Being able to see each impact without leaving the firing point makes the system especially useful for rifle scope zeroing and ammunition testing. Fire a group, inspect the results and make your next adjustment without waiting for a ceasefire simply to walk downrange and check the target.

It's also a valuable tool for shooting clubs, firearms instructors and coaches, allowing shot placement and group performance to be reviewed while the shooter remains behind the rifle.

No Internet or Mobile Signal Required

Remote shooting ranges aren't always known for reliable mobile reception, which is why the Ranger Plus doesn't depend on it.

The camera and supplied receiver establish their own dedicated wireless connection, so no internet, cellular data, hotspot or existing Wi-Fi network is required.

That makes the LongShot Ranger Plus equally at home on established rifle ranges and more remote shooting locations where conventional connectivity may be unavailable.

LongShot App with Shot Marking & Group Measurement

The free LongShot App turns your smartphone or tablet into far more than a simple target monitor.

Shooters can use pinch-to-zoom, mark and number individual shots, measure groups, save photographs, record video and review previous shooting sessions. The app also includes zeroing adjustment tools and LongShot's Blinker Shot Locator, helping make new impacts easier to identify on a busy target.

For shooters developing ammunition or evaluating rifle performance, the ability to mark shots and measure groups at the firing point makes the Ranger Plus an extremely useful addition to the range bag.

Ideal for Rifle Zeroing & Load Development

The Ranger Plus comes into its own when conducting methodical range work.

When zeroing a riflescope, you can immediately see where each shot has landed and make the appropriate windage or elevation adjustment. During load development, individual groups can be viewed and compared without continually travelling between the firing point and target.

For long-range shooting, it provides instant feedback after every shot, helping the shooter concentrate on fundamentals such as position, wind calls and consistency rather than struggling to see the target through a spotting scope.

Reduce Time Walking Downrange

One of the biggest advantages of a remote target camera system is simply making better use of your range time.

The Ranger Plus keeps a detailed view of the target beside you at the firing point. That means more time behind the rifle and less time checking targets, particularly when shooting at ranges where a round trip to the target can become substantial.

Because the camera sits close to the target, LongShot also highlights reduced dependence on viewing through long distances of heat haze and mirage, conditions which can make spotting small calibre bullet holes particularly challenging at extended ranges.

Portable, Rechargeable & Ready for the Range

The LongShot Ranger Plus wireless range camera is completely portable and battery powered, making it straightforward to add to your existing shooting equipment.

A fully charged system provides up to 6 hours of battery life, offering plenty of operating time for extended zeroing, load development and target shooting sessions.

The system includes the Ranger Plus HD target camera, wireless receiver, USB cable and instruction manual, giving you the core equipment required to get started.
