Immersive Optics 10x24 Prismatic Riflescope - Further Information
The Immersive Optics 10x24 Prismatic Riflescope delivers an impressive 10x fixed magnification from an incredibly compact optical system measuring just 122 mm long.
Designed primarily for air rifles and compact rifles with moderate to low recoil, the Immersive Optics 10x24 uses innovative prismatic optical technology to dramatically reduce the overall length and weight normally associated with a high-magnification riflescope.
Despite its compact dimensions, the 10x24 delivers a remarkably wide 10.6 m field of view at 100 metres, focuses down to just 6 metres, and uses high-quality ED glass for excellent clarity and natural colour reproduction.
This Mildot Extended version features a glass-etched illuminated reticle and is supplied complete with MOA adjustable mounts, creating an exceptionally compact and versatile optical package.
10x Magnification in an Incredibly Compact Scope
Traditional 10x riflescopes normally require a relatively long optical system and larger objective lens.
Immersive Optics takes a completely different approach.
By using a prism-based optical system, the 10x24 provides fixed 10x magnification while measuring only 72 × 51 × 122 mm.
The scope itself weighs just 248 g without mounts, helping minimise additional weight on the rifle and maintaining a more natural balance.
For compact rifles and airguns where conventional full-length optics can feel disproportionately large, the Immersive Optics 10x24 provides an innovative alternative.
Exceptional 10.6m Field of View
One of the major advantages of the Immersive Optics prismatic design is its exceptionally wide field of view.
The 10x24 provides a 10.6 m field of view at 100 metres – equivalent to 32 ft at 100 yards.
Immersive Optics states that its prismatic design can provide a field of view up to four times wider than a traditional sight, giving the shooter greater situational awareness despite the scope's high 10x magnification.
This makes target acquisition feel considerably less restrictive than might normally be expected from a compact fixed 10x riflescope.
Focuses Down to Just 6 Metres
The Immersive Optics 10x24 can be focused down to a minimum distance of just 6 metres.
This close focusing capability makes the scope particularly attractive for air rifle shooting, where targets may be encountered at considerably shorter distances than those associated with conventional centrefire rifle shooting.
Combined with its 10x magnification and wide field of view, the 6 m minimum focus gives the 10x24 considerable flexibility across different shooting distances.
Extra-Low Dispersion ED Glass
Compact dimensions don't mean compromising on optical quality.
The 10x24 incorporates extra-low dispersion ED glass, designed to reduce chromatic aberration and colour fringing while maintaining natural colour reproduction.
The result is a crisp, high-contrast sight picture with excellent detail – an important consideration when using a fixed 10x magnification riflescope for precise shooting.
Mildot Extended Illuminated Reticle
This model features the Immersive Optics Mildot Extended reticle.
The glass-etched reticle provides additional reference points for shooters who want more information within the sight picture for holdover and wind compensation.
Illumination further improves reticle visibility against different backgrounds and lighting conditions.
For shooters who prefer a more detailed aiming system than a conventional basic Mildot reticle, the Mildot Extended configuration provides a highly versatile solution.
0.1 MIL Precision Turrets
The Immersive Optics 10x24 features precision 0.1 MIL adjustment turrets, conveniently matching the Mildot-based reticle system.
Each click corresponds to approximately 1 cm at 100 metres, providing straightforward and precise windage and elevation adjustment.
The turrets provide 50 clicks per revolution, equivalent to 5 MIL / approximately 15 MOA of adjustment per complete rotation.
Huge Windage & Elevation Adjustment Range
Despite the scope's remarkably compact dimensions, the 10x24 provides an impressive adjustment range.
Both windage and elevation offer up to 28 MIL / approximately 83 MOA of total adjustment, giving the shooter plenty of scope for achieving the required zero.
Supplied with MOA Adjustable Mounts
This version of the Immersive Optics 10x24 is supplied complete with MOA adjustable mounts.
Rather than relying entirely on the riflescope's internal adjustment to compensate for the relationship between the scope and rifle, the adjustable mounting system allows additional correction to be made through the mounts.
This can help keep the scope closer to the centre of its internal adjustment range when zeroing.
The mounting system also provides flexibility when positioning the optic to achieve the correct relationship between the shooter's eye, rifle and short-eye-relief prismatic sight.
Short Eye Relief Prismatic Design
Unlike a conventional riflescope, the Immersive Optics 10x24 uses a short 14 mm eye relief.
This is an intentional part of the prismatic design and allows the optic to provide its unusually wide field of view and extremely compact dimensions.
Correct mounting position is therefore particularly important, and the supplied adjustable mounting system allows the scope to be positioned to suit the rifle and shooter.
The 10x24 is primarily intended for air rifles and rifles with moderate to low recoil, rather than heavy-recoiling rifle applications.
Better Rifle Balance
At only 248 g without mounts, the 10x24 places considerably less mass above the rifle than many conventional high-magnification scopes.
Even with the MOA adjustable mounting system fitted, total weight is approximately 370 g.
Reducing both scope length and weight can improve the overall balance of a compact rifle or airgun, making the combination more comfortable to carry, shoulder and hold on aim.
CNC Machined Precision Construction
The Immersive Optics 10x24 features a CNC-machined housing designed to provide the mechanical precision required from a high-performance riflescope.
The compact construction creates a robust optical package while keeping overall dimensions and weight to a minimum.
Waterproof & Nitrogen Filled
The optical channel is nitrogen filled to help prevent internal fogging when moving between changing temperatures and environmental conditions.
The riflescope is also waterproof sealed, providing additional protection against moisture during normal outdoor shooting use.
Innovative Lens Cap Retention System
Even the lens caps have received some thought.
Immersive Optics uses a clever lens cap retention system which allows the caps to be held securely to the side of the riflescope when open.
This keeps them out of the sight picture and prevents loose lens covers becoming an unnecessary distraction when shooting.
