Pulsar Challenger GS Gen Super with DSA Night Vision Riflescope

The Pulsar Challenger nightvision scope is Lightweight and Extremely Durable Compact night vision monocular which has a unique combination of specially designed R-Contact optics and the Gen Super/CF-Super (Super Gen 1+) image intensifier tube, which provides the highest edge to edge resolution performance ever seen in a budget consumer night vision product.

The Challenger night scope is fitted with a five lense eyepiece that minimizes distortion at the edges of the field of view and increases sharpness and contrast of the image.

A soft ergonomic rubber eye cup conceals the light emission from the Pulsar monocular tube so that your face is not illuminated which is crucial for security observation purposes.

The Pulsar Challenger monocular has an IP46 level of dust and water protection allowing it to be used in any wet or humid environment with no concern.

Operated via a single switch which successfully activates the device and then the IR illuminator.

The 1x20 is fitted with an energy conserving wide angle short range illuminator but can be upgraded using a focused high power IR illuminator for longer distance viewing with a recognition range up to 100meters (in ideal viewing conditions)

The Challenger GS can also have the magnification increased by fitting the optional lens doubler 2X for extended range viewing monocular use.

1. Built in IR Illuminator: The Challenger night vision monoculars are equipped with built in IR illuminators  which are various in design.

• Devices without visual magnification (1X) are equipped with an energy conserving wide angled short range IR illuminator, and the device can be mounted on a headmount.
• The Challenger GS models feature a powerful IR illuminator for observation at insufficient levels of natural illumination on above average distances.

2. Controls: The Challenger is operated with the help of a single switchm which successively activates the device and the built in IR illuminator. The design of the switch prevents the IR illuminator from accidental activation.

3. Mount: Equipped with two diametrically positioned tripod sockets which allow it to be fixed on the Head Mount for observation both with the right and left eye. Moreover, the challenger can be mounted on a tripod mount with a 1/4" tripod socket.

4. Body: The housing of metal and plastic  ensures extra reliability and durability  during usages.

Challenger has an IP46 degree of protection (IEC 60529) i.e this device is protected against water and dust which increases the range of its usage.

5.Eyepiece: The device is outfitted with a new five lens eyepiece that minimizes distortion on the edges of the field of view and increases sharpness and contrast of the image.

A soft rubber eyecup conceals the light emission from the tube thus permitting a user to stay unnoticed.

I bought this device after reading a review in Countrymans weekly and fitted it to my new Edgar XVI air rifle. I was very impressed, shooting rabbits at night has become a breeze and i can spot vermin easily out to 100meters. Brilliant bit of kit, so much that my mates have all bought them now also. Great service from the guys n gals at Scott Country too. 10 out of 10

For under £300 this bit of kit has to be seen to be believed. I bought mine for hand held spotting and then shooting through my .17HMR with Paladin NV scope initially. I was so impressed the Paladin is now relegated to my air rifle, and i have the Challenger mounted to my Hawke Nite Eye scope on the .17 what a cracking bit of kit.
