Pulsar Digisight N550 Lens Conversion Kit: Increase the magnification of your Pulsar Digisight to 7.65x magnification.
The Pulsar Digisight N550 Riflescope comes with a 4.5x Magnification as standard and has been crying out for a Pulsar Doubler kit to increase the magnification for longer range shots. Dr Bob has developed a lens convertor kit or doubler kit for the Pulsar Digisight, using a Pulsar lens to increase the magnification to 7.65x. Although not officially a Pulsar Lens Doubler as the magnification is increased by 1.7 x and not 2x (a doubler is 2x magnification) it allows you to see more detail and increase target size when hunting at night. This kit uses a high quality Gen 2+ lens made by Pulsar which is a 1.7x lens convertor designed to increase the magnification of Pulsar Gen 2+ Night Vision, giving plenty of light transfer for this type of device. Our lens conversion kit is made by Dr Bob to our own specification and fits to the Digisight front lens housing and allows the Pulsar lens to be attached instantly converting your magnification to 7.65x Throughout our tests we actually found the lens converter actually increases the detail making the image a little sharper than the standard unit. With a magnification of 7.65x vermin appear considerably closer making targetting and hunting easier at longer ranges. Dr Bob has tested his design with a readily available Camcorder lens which works well with the Digisight kit, but is not a lens which is specifically designed for Night Vision, unlike the Pulsar Lens (designed for Gen 2+ NV) which we use and offers increased clarity and definition as well as good light transfer. The Lens Conversion kit comes with a specially engineered lens conversion kit adaptor which is fitted to the Pulsar lens cowling. It can simply slot into place as the adaptor is finely machined to fit snugly, for easy-on off removal, however the adaptor comes with three location lugs to fix in place if required. The Pulsar 1.7x Lens has an objective lens flip up cover which effectively replaces the Pulsar N550 flip up cover which is now unusable as the lens unit is in place. PLEASE NOTE: This product is not made by Pulsar, and is only available from www.scottcountry.co.uk As this product contains a lens designed for use on Gen 2+ Night Vision we CANNOT export the Dr Bob Kit outside the UK. Please Note: Although the lens used is made by Pulsar this lens conversion kit is NOT an official Pulsar product therefore any damage to your Digisight caused during fitting and/or use may not be covered by your warranty. Although the Digisight is suitable for centrefire use, testing has only been done up to rifles with a caliber up to .243. As with any addition to your rifle/package it is important that you check zero before shooting live vermin.

 The N550 is an extremely capable unit in it's own right and as it can also be used in daylight puts this way ahead of the competition. Fitted with the lens doubler now makes this an even more capable system in comparison to many of its image intensifier competitors, in my opinion outperforming some gen 3 units at a fraction of the price. Fitting instructions for the 'doubler kit' are clear and concise and it is fitted in a matter of minute Graham Atkinson, 05/08/2011 i put the dr bob lens adaptor put on the pulsar last week, it only took ten mins to put on and well worth the money, and it has changed the clarty 200 per cent, i can see rabbits out to 500 yrds with 170 light and ir filter. my mate has got a £5000 ad on scope and he carnt see as far. great piece of kit,it well done scott country ten out of ten. pete britton, 19/07/2011 doubler kit arrived well packaged with clear concise instructions. The lens assy itself was easy to fit, and as stated just nip up the 3 securing screws a little at a time, to secure lens in front of digiscope. The difference the lens makes is remarkable, it is now so much easier to zero and there is no apparent loss of picture quality.
