UK Deliveries

When ordering please select your location from the drop down box in order to calculate the correct delivery charge.

When we process your order at Scott Country an email response will be sent to you to confirm that the order has been processed.

As we use UPS Worldship for shipping most packages we can enter your email address into UPS Quantum Notify to advise you when your parcel has been shipped and provide you with a tracking number and a way of tracking your parcel.

In some instances where we have your goods shipped direct from the manufacturer we may not be able to provide you with a tracking number at the time of shipping, but can supply this upon request after shipping.

Depending on your order value when your order is ready to be shipped we use one of the following delivery methods

Royal Mail Recorded Delivery

Recorded items are normally delivered within 48hrs of despatch.
(Excludes bank holidays and weekends)

UPS Couriers

All packages sent with UPS to mainland UK are normally delivered within 24hours, however Highlands and Island deliveries may incur an extra delivery stage which can delay deliveries in some instances.

From our experience we believe UPS are the most efficient and reliable courier company on the planet and very rarely let us down.

Should you require an Express timed delivery we are able to provide a premium service at extra cost which can be delivered to a specific time slot. If you require an urgent service please order by telephone.

International Deliveries

Any import taxes incurred when purchasing goods from Scott Country will be paid directly by the customer. Sending goods within Europe does not normally incur import taxes.

UPS Express and UPS Express Plus services are available for urgent International deliveries on stock items at extra cost.

If you are requesting your goods to be sent to a different address than your billing address we will require proof of identification/residency to prevent fraudulent transactions.

Delivering your order to your place of work: We are perfectly happy to send to work addresses but may contact your place of work to prove you are the cardholder or request a company letterhead or other form of identification.

Delivering to an alternative private residence: If we cannot verify your residency at the delivery address or obtain a proof of identification from you such as a copy of passport or driving licence, then we will only send to the billing address.

Returns

When purchasing footwear and clothing it is often difficult to order the correct size.

We would be delighted to help you with making this decision so please contact us if you require assistance.

In the event of you ordering an item that is not the correct fit, (in accordance with the Terms and Conditions) we are happy for you to return it for an alternative size if required and we will be happy to assist you in choosing the correct alternative.

When you order online, you will receive with your confirmation of order our Terms and Conditions informing you of your rights if you should choose to return goods to Scott Country.

If you order by telephone, these Terms and Conditions will be supplied printed on the reverse of your invoice.

These Terms and Conditions are also available to view on our website at the time of ordering.

Proof Of ID Requirements

When you order online at Scott Country Sage Pay carries out a number of security checks against your address and your credit card.

This includes a check to ensure that the billing address provided is the address registered to the credit card as well as a CVC number checking the 3 digits on the reverse of the card match the database.

On the occasion of an address not matching the registered card address we will need to contact you to acquire a proof of identity or an alternative payment method.

The cause of this could be a number of factors.
Change of Address
Business Address
Overseas Address
Typing Error

We will contact you if this occurs, and if an alternative payment method cannot be used we will request a proof of ID to confirm your identity.

A Proof Of ID will also be required when you are purchasing age sensitive goods such as Air Rifles, Air Rifle Pellets, Knives and Multi- Tools

We are legally required to request a proof of id from you which we use to determine that the purchaser is of the required age to purchase the item.

This should be in the form of an official document such as Driving Licence, Birth Certificate, Passport etc and can be sent to us by fax 01556 50 2235, or by email.

We will not use this ID for any other purpose other than determining your age.

It is against the law to supply a customer under the age of 18 with a bladed item, and therefore under no circumstances will be sell an item to someone who cannot provide us with adequate proof of identity.

Purchasing Restricted Items such as Air Rifles and Air Pistols

Recent regulations have meant the introduction of the VCR act which means we can no longer deliver air rifles or pistols direct to your door.

When ordering an Air Rifle or Pistol you can either collect from our office in Castle Douglas, or we can arrange for the package to be delivered to a Registered Firearms Dealer in your area, and you can collect it from there. You will be required to show photographic proof of identity, and the RFD may make a small admin charge.

Restricted Items

Depending on the country you reside in, it may be necessary for us to obtain an Export Licence before we can ship certain products to you.
Items such as Night Vision, some Riflescopes, Laser products etc are strictly controlled, and it may be necessary to apply for an Export Licence before we can consider shipping them to you.

To obtain an Export Licence, we will firstly require a Prior Import Consent from the government of the country you reside in. This is basically a letter of consent that gives permission for you to import a restricted item.
