Watching Wildlife in your Garden or Local Wood using a Wildlife camera or Bird camera

Watching wildlife in your garden can be one of the most rewarding pastimes you could encouter and it is there 24hrs of every day of the year.

Whether its a trail camera, hand held video camera, bird camera or a garden wildlife camera, you can get some amazing images of wildlife in action.

Trail cameras have become very popular but using a wildlife camera, or bird camera to view wildlife in your garden is the ultimate way of getting close to nature.

These wildlife cameras can be positioned in bird boxes, bird feeders and also ground mounted to capture footage of mammals such as foxes, otters and badgers.

TV programs such as Springwatch and Countryfile regularly employ this technology to provide viewers with round the clock footage of wildlife and birds nesting in the area.

It is wonderful to view a bird first encountering the box, to building a nest, to hatching their young and feeding them up through the summer.

Wildlife watching will give you and your family countless hours of enjoyment and fascination and there is nothing better than first seeing a bird visiting your bird box.

Lots of people are starting to use video cameras more and more in their gardens. BBC Countryfile recently featured a nature trust using the Stealth Cam Prowler HD to capture footage of otters and badgers in the wild, and these trail cameras are used worldwide now for monitoring wildlife movements, whether it be on a deer stalking estate, or a raptors nest.

Wildlife cameras like these systems, go one step further allowing you to watch wildlife as streaming video, record it for playback, and create your own movies and upload to You Tube.

Wildlife Cameras

The Hi Resolution Pro Nest Box Camera system is used by professionals such as the BBC, and BBC wildlife magazine and is the perfect kit to attract breeding birds to your garden.

This multi species box has a removable front panel making it suitable for the widest range of garden birds.

As well as looking great in any garden this nest with bird camera is designed to meet all RSPB and BTO recommendations to maximise your chance of birds nesting in it.

Sliding out the camera drawer reveals the high res mini video camera, with built in microphone enabling you to hear as well as see what's going on inside the box. The adjustable focus lens also helps to ensure pin sharp images every time.

The wireless option will send video and audio signal to your PC or television giving you the opportunity to view and record footage 24hrs a day.

The Bird Feeder ViewCam Wildlife Camera systems, provide the facility to video birds on your feeder. Capture footage of garden birds, squirrels or even mount the Viewcam close to the ground using it as a trail camera or stealth camera to capture footage of ground mammals such as nocturnal movements of badgers, otters and foxes.

The protected design of the Bird Feeder Viewcam enables you to get great close up of feeding wildlife all year round.

The kit comes ready assembled with everything you need to get close up footage of birds feeding on your TV or PC

A built in microphone allows you to hear as well as see whats going on. Very easy to set up and provides hours of entertainment.

One customer has had 5 red squirrels feeding on camera at the same time, fighting for space on a small nut feeder.

Weatherproof Wildlife Camera Kits can be used in virtually any location and are the perfect solution for use as a trail camera, capturing footage of nocturnal animals such as badgers, foxes etc

They can also be mounted in kennels, stables, bird nest areas and outbuildings to keep an eye on livestock, equipment or endangered species.

Using a 12V remote power supply they are the ideal equipment for wildlife trusts to mount near raptors nests and send footage back to the visitor centres to allow visitors to view peregrin nests or other rare species from a safe distance without disturbing their delicate surroundings.

Mount one of these cameras in your garden and at night you can watch the coming and goings of badgers and otters, and see these species up close and personal, where you would never get anywhere near as close in person.

The infrared nightvision facility on some cameras allow you to view in complete darkness, without the animal ever knowing its on camera.

A wireless system will send video and audio back to your television or PC allowing you to record footage for playback, or uploading to You Tube to share footage with the world.

Underwater Submersible Cameras

We recently supplied a trail camera to a customer who operated an Underwater camera on his website, showing streaming footage of life in a river near his holiday cottage.

Danny from Myrtleberry suggested that we look into these systems.

This Underwater Wildlife colour camera can steam wireless video and audio to your television or PC (requires adaptor) and allow you to watch wildlife and fish in your local river.

A great ideal for conservation or wildlife trusts to monitor fish and wildlife from a remote location.

Like all these cameras you can connect a 12V remote power supply and stream the footage to your laptop to allow you to count fish going through a river section, or see what species are in the area.

Also ideal for koi carp enthusiasts or nature lovers looking for footage of kingfishers fishing, or otters swimming.

A fascinating insight into life in the deep.

You can see an example of this type of system in operation LIVE on the Myrtleberry website at Myrtleberry Wildlife Live Camera.
