Introducing the new Spypoint IR-6 and IR-8 Wildlife Nature Camera
The new IR-8 and IR-6 nature cameras from Spypoint now offer the fastest response time of all the companies offering trail cameras on the market. This ensures that whether you are using your Spypoint Nature camera for wildlife observation or for security, that you never miss any of the action.
This nature camera uses a high power infrared camera detection system which will ensure that day or night footage is captured without alerting the subject to the presence of the wildlife camera.
When the sensitive PIR detects movement the camera instantly triggers and captures a video or still shot of who or what has triggered the camera.
The new cameras have a brand new 5 lens detection zone. Where most trail camera manufacturers use a one lens system the Spypoints 5 zone lens offers a much faster detection speed, with a greatly increased detection angle of cover, ensuring you miss less subjects that the camera fails to detect.
The latest SPYPOINT wildlife trail cameras now offer the option of being updated to ensure you have the latest camera software available. You can simply download a new version of the camera software from the Spypoint website, and install it to your camera ensuring you have the most up to date software.
Spypoint IR-6 Nature Camera
The Spypoint IR-6 Nature camera features a 6 megapixel sensor, allowing you toobtain high quality still images as well as high resolution video footage.
Considerably smaller than the IR-A from Spypoint, the IR-6 measures 4.5" x 6.8" x 2.8" and comes complete with a removable internal camera unit which is great for security as you can mount the IR-6 to a tree or post, and simply remove the internals to check the footage captured or for storage when the camera is not being used.
The casing is completely weather tight and can be securely mounted or attached to a camera tripod using the included threaded base mount.
An infrared LED console illuminates at night, allowing you to take high resolution pictures in complete darkness without the subject, be it a deer or a human, knowing a photo has been taken.
The device is powered by 6 AA batteries, and can also be powered by a 12V external power supply or a solar panel to recharge a Lithium battery pack.
An SD card with a capacity of up to 32Gb can be used, allowing you to leave the device unattended for up to 60days.
The user friendly control panel allows easy set up and maintenance of the device on location.
Comes complete with tree strap, USB cable and user manual as well as a video cable allowing you to view the captured footage on your TV.

Spypoint IR-8 Nature Camera
Spypoint's new IR-8 trail camera features a high resolution 8 mega pixel sensor, which provides high quality still shots as well as a high resolution video footage capability.
It is much smaller than the IR-C camera from Spypoint and features a removable internal camera unit.
The internal unit features a built in 2.4" viewing screen to allow you to view footage or stills of what the camera has captured over the time period it has been operating.
With the new 5 zone detection system the IR-8 allows for instant capturing of wildlife. The instant trigger capability means you miss less of the action and capture plenty of footage without the back end of a deer being seen or simply an image with nothing different from the background.
Like the IR-6 the Spypoint IR-8 has a choice of power options from solar panel, rechargeable batteries, AA batteries or 12V external power supplies, allowing you to pair the device with an SD card (32gb max) and leave the camera unattended for up to 60days.
Date, time, temperature and moon phase are printed on each shot, allowing you to keep a detailed record of the times of the day wildlife are active in that area.
Ideal for monitoring nocturnal wildlife movements of species such as badgers and otters, as the camera will take pictures or footage in colour during the day, and black and white at night, without the animals being disturbed.

What Differs the new IR-6 and IR-8 from Spypoint's current line up of Nature cameras, and other cameras on the market.
1. Smaller unit
The first thing you notice about the IR-6 and IR-8 is the size. they are 50% smaller than the current IR-A, B and C.

Being smaller they are easy to conceal and in the camo pattern they can be mounted to a tree or a post, and will be almost undetectable by passers-by.
2. Detachable internals
Some of the comments made about the current line up were that when the device was in place, you had to remove the camera from the tree to view the pictures, or indeed to download the footage to a computer or view on a TV

The new cameras have a detachable internal unit, which can be removed for extra security when not in use.

3. Better Detection
The new 5 zone Spypoint detection system is used on the new IR-6 and IR-8 which means that less animals can pass by without being "seen" by the device.

Most nature cameras on the market feature one lens detection, which quite often means that animals can be undetected by the camera.
Spypoint's 5 zone detection gives a large capture field, twinned with a market leading camera response.
4. Faster Response times
The Spypoint IR-8 has an instant trigger, which means the delay between the sensor detecting movement and the camera taking a picture is negligible.
Some cameras have a delay of up to a few seconds, which means if you have a fast moving animal crossing the path of the camera, it has often left the area before the camera triggers, and at best you catch a picture of a rear end of a roe buck!
The new Spypoint cameras have market leading trigger times, which means no more empty backgrounds, when the detector sees something, the camera takes a picture.
5. Quality of Images
SPYPOINT cameras offer the best quality pictures in the marketplace. This is accomplished by using a lens quality that matches the resolution of the camera sensor.
In other words the Spypoint IR-8 8MP cameras use a 8MP lens which results in higher quality images compared to the competition.

Some companies offer a similar megapixel rating but use a lower value lens and step up the resolution with software interpolation.
This makes it very difficult to zoom in or blow up pictures without distortion.
6. Power Supply Options
Spypoint trail cameras can be powered from a choice of power supplies such as 12V external batteries or a lithium power pack.
The new IR-6 and IR-8 trail cameras can be powered by AA batteries, or a rechargeable battery pack.

It also has inputs for a 12V power supply or a solar panel which can recharge the optional internal lithium battery pack.
You can then leave the camera unattended for up to 60days and capture lots of footage over an extended period.
